With 8 students in the second year class we have plenty of hands to go around. Sometimes to many. Teamwork is one of the most impoarnt things for a successful shop/school to have/teach in my opinon. When you get multiple people organized and working on a single project at a time. The project is usally finished in a timely manner. Some of the benifits of working in a team are that you get multiple skills, multiple point of views on the project, and of course the extra set of hands.
But, Some times when working in a team there can be "to many cooks in the kitchen" which can prove to be counter-productive. Like here at butler we have recently broken into smaller teams and begin putting each team on a different project through out the shop. Which has actually sped up the rate of things being done in the shop, and keeps everyone busy in the shop.
Teamwork is something every shop needs, but make sure you keep the team sizes resonable in relation to the job.

Great Post Jon...! You've Hit a Homerun with this Post. I've just returned from a Masters Auto Body class. They convey the importance of team work too. You're definetly on the right track and ahead of the game understanding this concept.
